Mahindra Thar Roxx is going to be launched on this Independence Day i.e. 15th August. The automaker has released a teaser revealing the design details and features of the SUV. In the most recent teaser of the new Thar, new features have been seen in the off-road SUV. Thar Rocks will be launched with black and white color options. What was shown in the new teaser of Mahindra Thar Roxx?
A new 15-second teaser of Mahindra Thar Rocks has been released, which shows that the Mahindra Thar Roxx will have ventilated front seats. Along with this, it also has Hill Descent Control and Electrically Actuated Rear Differential Lock. ‘
The Hill Descent Control feature given in it helps in maintaining a uniform speed while taking the vehicle down a steep slope. At the same time, the rear locking differential feature works to lock the rear wheels on the same axle, so that they can rotate at the same speed. The teaser shows that the new Thar has a panoramic sunroof.

According to the teasers released so far, the Mahindra Thar Roxx will have features like a large touchscreen and digital driver display, automatic AC, Harman Kardon sound system. Apart from this, for the safety of the passenger, it has 6 airbags, electronic stability control (ESC), tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS), hill hold and descent control and 360-degree camera.
Apart from this, it has features like Level 2 Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS) like Adaptive Cruise Control, Lane Keep Assist and Autonomous Emergency Braking.
Will come in petrol and diesel engine options
Thar Roxx can come in petrol and diesel engine options like the old Thar, which will be a 2-liter turbo-petrol and a 2.2-liter diesel engine. Its engine will come in both 6-speed manual and 6-speed automatic transmission options. Not just that, it will be available in rear-wheel-drive (RWD) and four-wheel-drive (4WD) configuration options.
Interior
The Thar Roxx will also feature an electronically locking rear differential for better off-road capability, ventilated seats, digital instrument cluster, large touchscreen, premium Harman Kardon sound system, automatic climate control and leather upholstery. Key features to look out for include a soft-touch dashboard with contrasting yellow stitching, panoramic sunroof for celestial views and cruise control for comfortable highway travel.
Exterior
The Mahindra Thar Roxx gets a new six-slot grille and its bumper is now body-colour, replacing the old black-coloured bumper. The design of the headlights is all-new too – the circular LED projectors and separate C-shaped LED daytime running lights are a big step up compared to the somewhat monotonous arrangement used earlier.
Earlier, Mahindra has released a teaser showing the exterior of the Thar Roxx, showing how different it is compared to the three-door Thar model. Viewed from the side, the Mahindra Thar Rocks gets new diamond-cut alloy wheels; the lower variants will still get steel wheels, but will now come with wheel covers.
Another nice touch is how the rear door handles have been moved to the C-pillar – making the side profile of this SUV much cleaner. Moving to the rear, the new design of the taillights adds a freshness to the overall look.
It can be priced this much
The ex-showroom price of the Mahindra Thar Roxx can be Rs 15 lakh. When launched in the Indian market, it will be seen competing with the Force Gurkha 5-door.
