Pollution can cause a skin disease called eczema, in which there is swelling and itching in the skin. Pollution causes acne problems on the skin. This can cause rashes and spots on the skin. Some people may also have pigmentation problems and itching on the skin. All these problems seem very mild in the beginning, but gradually the problem starts increasing. In such a situation, identification in the beginning is important.
How does pollution spoil the skin?
Dr. Dheer explains that the particles present in pollution come in contact with the skin and get deposited there. Pollution consists of dust, soil and small particles of PM2.5. Which damage the skin. People who stay outside for many hours have a higher risk of getting skin diseases due to pollution.
How to protect the skin from pollution?
- Keep the skin hydrated. For this, drink at least 6 to 7 glasses of water a day
- If there is swelling, red marks or rashes on the skin, then consult a doctor
- Wear a mask: Wearing a mask also protects the skin. Make sure to wear a mask when going out of the house
- Take care of the skin: Clean the skin regularly, moisturize it, and apply sunscreen
- Eat a healthy diet: By taking a healthy diet, the effects of pollution can be reduced. Include fruits and vegetables in your diet
