As the festival of Diwali approaches, there is a rush in long distance trains. There is no room situation in all trains, which means that passengers are not even getting waiting tickets.
While general coaches are running full, the condition of sleeper coaches has also become like general coaches. Passengers are not even getting a place to sit. The biggest problem is in trains coming and going from cities like Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Kolkata, Chennai.
Passengers are not even getting a place to stand in trains like Mangala Express, Samta Express, Shridham Express, Sampark Kranti Express, Sachkhand, Jhelum Express, Malwa Express passing through Gwalior in Madhya Pradesh. People are forced to travel by standing near the toilets of general and sleeper coaches of these trains.
Heavy crowds in Delhi and Bhopal trains too
The maximum crowd of passengers is in Delhi and Bhopal trains. People are not able to get confirmed tickets even in short distance trains. In such a situation, they are now trying to arrange for Tatkal tickets.
On the other hand, seeing the crowd of passengers in the sleeper class, now even the ticket checking staff is not able to muster the courage to enter these coaches. Waiting is up to 150 in most of the trains, due to which passengers have to struggle for tickets.
Scindia wrote a letter to the Railway Minister to extend Gatiman to Orchha
Meanwhile, Union Communications and North Eastern Region Development Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia wrote a letter to Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav to extend the 12049/12050 Gatiman Express to the tourist city of Orchha with the aim of making the movement of domestic and foreign tourists from Delhi to Orchha in Madhya Pradesh easier.
It is worth noting that after reaching Delhi last week, BJP leader Vikas Yadav told Union Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia through a letter that recently the city of Orchha has been included in the permanent list of UNESCO’s World Heritage. Ramraja Sarkar’s city Orchha is the first city in the state to be included in the permanent list of UNESCO.
At present, Orchha is called the gateway of tourism of the state. This city, which has preserved religion, ancient and environment in itself, is currently a center of attraction for domestic and foreign tourists. Every year lakhs of domestic tourists and thousands of foreign tourists reach here for the darshan of Shri Ramraja Sarkar.
If the Gatiman Express is extended from Jhansi to Orchha, then the tourists coming from Delhi to Orchha will have convenience in transportation and their number will increase a lot.
