  • Bread Slices: 8-10
  • Semolina: 1/2 cup
  • Rice flour: 1/4 cup
  • Curd: 1/4 cup
  • Water: 1 cup (or as required)
  • Salt to taste
  • Oil: for frying
  • Other ingredients (optional): Boiled potatoes, onion, green chillies, coriander leaves, spices

  • Prepare the bread: Cut off the edges of the bread and break the bread into small pieces.
  • Prepare the batter: Prepare the batter: Add semolina, rice flour, curd, salt and water in a huge vessel and blend well.
  • Add the bread: Now add the bread pieces to this mixture and mix well. Keep in mind that the mixture should neither be too thick nor too thin.
  • Heat the pan: Heat a non-stick pan and apply some oil on it.
  • Make the dosa: Spread a spoonful of batter on the pan. Pour some oil on top and cook it till it turns golden on both sides.
  • Garnish and serve: Garnish the prepared bread dosa with boiled potatoes, onions, green chillies, coriander leaves and spices and serve hot.

Additional Tips

  1. If you want, you can also add a little baking soda to the batter, this will make the dosa fluffy and crispy.
  2. You can also add vegetables to the batter as per your choice.
  3. Bread dosa can also be served with sambhar and coconut chutney.
