In some states, the heatwave and heat may increase the trouble of the common people even more. In the capital Delhi, the temperature reached close to 50 degrees on Tuesday.
This is a new record of deadly heat. Severe heat will continue in many parts of Punjab, Haryana, Rajasthan, UP, MP and Delhi-NCR till May 31. However, in the meantime, rain is knocking in some states from today. The Meteorological Department has predicted heavy rains in Assam, Sikkim, Meghalaya, Kerala, West Bengal and many states.

- According to the IMD, severe heat conditions will continue in Delhi for the next few days. The Meteorological Office said in its latest bulletin, “Heatwave to severe heatwave conditions are likely to continue in the plains of Northwest India, West Madhya Pradesh, East Madhya Pradesh etc. for the next three days.”
- The Meteorological Department says that on May 29, heatwave to severe heatwave conditions are likely in many parts of Rajasthan, parts of Punjab, Haryana-Chandigarh-Delhi and isolated parts of West Uttar Pradesh, West Madhya Pradesh.
- It will gradually decrease. Heatwave conditions are likely in different parts of Himachal Pradesh, East Uttar Pradesh on May 29 and May 30.
- Heatwave conditions can be seen in Chhattisgarh from May 29 to May 30, East Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha, Jammu division on May 29. Nights will remain hot in different parts of Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh and Delhi from May 29 to May 31.
Rain in Uttarakhand, Himachal and Jammu Kashmir
The Meteorological Department has forecast that light rain with thunderstorms, lightning and strong winds is likely in Uttarakhand from May 29 to May 31. There may be rain in Jammu and Kashmir-Ladakh-Gilgit-Baltistan-Muzaffarabad and Himachal Pradesh on May 30 and May 31.
Heavy rain warning in these states too
The Meteorological Department has also predicted rain for various states including Assam, Sikkim, Meghalaya, Kerala, West Bengal. IMD says that from May 29, there is a possibility of thunderstorms and rain in Kerala, Lakshadweep, Andaman and Nicobar Islands, West Bengal and Sikkim. During this time, strong winds can also blow at a speed of 40 kmph.
Heat alert in these districts of Bihar
After light rain in many districts of Bihar, the temperature has increased once again. The local Meteorological Department of Patna has issued an alert of heat wave along with severe heat in Bhojpur, Aurangabad, Arwal, Buxar, Rohtas and Kaimur districts on Wednesday.
Mercury crosses 50 degrees in Churu
The heat situation in Rajasthan has increased further. The maximum temperature in Churu was recorded at 50.5 degrees Celsius, which is 7.5 degrees above normal. The Meteorological Department said that due to the hot winds coming from Rajasthan and the scorching sun, the temperature has increased especially in the outskirts of Delhi.

It has been told that monsoon may start in Kerala during the next 24 hours. During this time, favorable conditions are also being created for monsoon in some areas of the Northeast.
