Chinook Winds Casino reopens with new COVID-19 measures after weeks-long closure

The Chinook Winds Casino Resort in Lincoln City officially reopened its doors on Thursday after concerns over the Delta variant of the coronavirus prompted management to shut down facilities for the second half of August.

Operations at the casino, hotel and golf course were shut down on August 12. At the time, the casino said it hoped to reopen on August 26, however, the closure was later extended for another week.
The popular resort on the Oregon coast reopened its doors with new virus measures in place. Visitors will have to get their temperatures checked and wear a mask. Guests are also no longer allowed to eat or drink at table games, and there won’t be bar-top service in the lounge areas. Dining venues have also been socially distanced.

The fitness center and the night club remain closed.
